Their team assessed our business, what we were doing and what our requirements were. After a few Zoom meetings we were put in contact with a variety of highly experienced experts in different areas of business management. We were assigned a business mentor from a large company called BDO UK Ltd and scheduled in for 12 Mentoring sessions in more or less any area that either us or BDO felt that we needed help with. The assigned mentor asked some very searching questions asked about the business some of which although we should have been able to answer, we couldn’t. This process enabled us to tighten our focus in certain areas.
There were a host of other business seminars and workshops online all available to us at no cost. We were advised early on that it would be very easy to get sucked into doing a lot of learning and forget about the actual business. It does however, highlight how much there is on offer to support small business.
